Nascar Update: Cole Custer Reveal Why I didn’t want to risk any wrecks in…

“Days like this are tough. We had a fast #00 Autodesk/Haas Automation Ford Mustang, but the damage from that crash kept us from arguing about the right solution.

We kept cutting the tires and don’t want to hit the brakes and take it to the workshop. It’s not fun when it’s a good few weeks later, but we’ll keep our heads together.

It’s Daytona week, so let’s be ready for that.” -Cole Custer, driver of the #00 Autodesk/Haas Automation Ford Mustang Dark Horse

The #98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang Dark Horse raced very fast. I thought we would have a chance there. I select it by rebooting and it comes back.

I thought we would like it. I thought we were better than a lot of people in front of us. We had a big run at 39 in turn 2 and I got into him thinking I was open.

I don’t seem to understand. It’s an awesome job. We will go back to Daytona and try to win again. We are locked in the finals and the race cars are very fast.

I tried to have a chance to win second place because who knows if the rain comes at the end of the race. I just fought and fought.

I don’t know. We’ll watch film and see what I can learn and we’ll go to Daytona.” – Riley Herbst, driver of the #98 Ford Monster Energy Mustang Dark Horse.
