The Detroit Lions currently boast the best record in the NFC and are tied for the best record in the entire league. Having already secured a playoff berth, their focus now shifts to clinching a first-round bye.
To achieve that, they can’t afford to let up as the season enters its final stretch. This also means they’ve gone from being underdogs to being the team everyone is chasing.
When asked about their record so far, head coach Dan Campbell summed it up with one word: Motivating.
Campbell is well aware of the lofty expectations now placed on his team, making it crucial for them to stay sharp.
The Philadelphia Eagles remain hot on their heels, competing for the NFC’s top spot. The Lions’ lone loss of the season came against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
That defeat occurred in Week 2 during a rematch of their postseason clash, where Detroit had previously come out on top.
Despite some close calls, including a game where Jared Goff threw five interceptions, the Lions have been dominant. Their offense is the most explosive in the league, and no other team comes close.
With a dynamic running back duo consistently finding the end zone and Goff mostly protecting the football, Detroit’s offense has proven unstoppable against any defense.
