Cowboys Continue To Lose Talent To 1 Rival.

After the initial free agency period, the Dallas Cowboys are seen as one of the teams that didn’t do well as they have mostly kept their roster the same.

The team has seen several important players leave in free agency recently but have not made many moves to fill those spots.

The defense has suffered a big blow with the departure of several players, including defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who is now the head coach of the Washington Commanders.

During Quinn’s time with the team, the Cowboys had one of the top defenses in the league and performed exceptionally well in the 2023 NFL season. Now, they will have to face Quinn’s team twice a year as the NFC East becomes more competitive in 2024.

When a coordinator takes a new job, they often bring along their former players. Cornerback Noah Igbinoghene is the latest player to join the Commanders, making it

four former Cowboys now in Washington. This trend of players leaving Dallas for Washington continues with Tyler Biadasz, Dorance Armstrong, and Dante Fowler already on the Commanders’ roster.

It is not surprising that Quinn is trying to bring in his former players to Washington, but it does mean that Dallas will need to find replacements for more players than they may have anticipated. The upcoming 2024 NFL Draft will be crucial for the Cowboys as they look to add talent at key defensive positions.
