Cowboys’ Cornerback Stephon Gilmore Faces Big Test After Shoulder Scare – Is He Ready for the Green Bay Challenge?

In a bit of a nail-biter for the Dallas Cowboys, their 5-time Pro Bowl guy, Stephon Gilmore, got a banged-up shoulder last week.

The Cowboys, who’ve been doing alright with a 12-5 record and bagging the NFC East Division title plus the 2nd seed in the NFC Playoff Picture, are now gearing up for the Wild Card round. They’re set to face the 9-8 Green Bay Packers at AT&T Stadium on January 14 at 3:30 P.M. central time.

So, our seasoned cornerback took a hit trying to snatch a pass meant for Terry McLaurin. Result? Shoulder out of place. But, good news came from the Monday MRI – no major damage. ESPN’s Todd Archer spilled the beans, saying Gilmore is likely good to go for the Green Bay faceoff, just needing a little extra support with a shoulder harness.

Gilmore himself seems all pumped up, stating, “It popped out and they popped it back in place. It feels great now. I’m excited for next week.” But here’s the catch – will he be on full throttle this week? Richard Sherman gave us the lowdown on playing with a shoulder brace, hinting at possible hiccups.

The Cowboys are about to tackle the Packers, and things get a tad trickier for our pass defense. Sure, we’re sitting pretty at 5th place for the least passing yards allowed, but now we’ve got Jordan Love on the Green Bay side.

The guy’s having a decent run in his rookie season, ranking seventh in passing yards and second in passing touchdowns. Oh, did I mention he’s running the youngest offense in the NFL?

As the Cowboys get ready for the Green Bay showdown, all eyes are on Stephon Gilmore – is he gonna be a boost for our pass defense, or could that shoulder play spoiler against the Packers? The mystery surrounding Gilmore’s moves against Love’s throws will be the talk of the town in this make-or-break Wild Card game.
