The Dallas Cowboys reveal a surprising quarterback injury leading up to the Green Bay Packers matchup

Dallas Cowboys Announce Shocking QB Injury Ahead Of Green Bay Packers Matchup.

The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers will be facing off in one of the biggest games of the Wild Card weekend.

The Cowboys are looking to come in, a prove they can be a threat in the playoffs after not reaching the NFC Championship game since the mid 1990s.

The Packers want to prove on National Television that Jordan Love is their third franchise quarterback in a row and that they still have Super Bowl aspirations of their own.

The Cowboys revealed today that they’re grappling with a quarterback injury.

According to Charyn Williams of Pro Football Talk:

The Cowboys are healthy enough to prepare for Sunday’s playoff game against the Packers.

Only one player has a rank.
The team added backup guard Cooper Rush to its practice report Friday and listed him as questionable due to an illness. He didn’t practice.

Rush has taken 69 snaps in mop-up duties this season. Cornerback Stephon Gilmore (shoulder) practiced on a limited basis for the second straight day.

It is expected that he will play the game wearing a seat belt to protect his dislocated shoulder.

Left guard Tyler Smith (foot) returns after missing Week 18. On Friday he had a full training session.

Defensive end Dorrance Armstrong (ankle), defensive tackle Jonathan Hankins (ankle) and cornerback Malik Hooker (ankle) are also good.

Obviously, an injury to a backup quarterback doesn’t affect the game itself (unless you count Dak Prescott’s injury).

However, it will be interesting to see if Prescott is forced to sit out any moments during the game.

Rush’s illness is unclear at this time, but his availability for the Wild Card round is now in question.

If Rush doesn’t take the field on Sunday, Trey Lance will be Dak Prescott’s backup.
