Green Bay Packers: Aaron Rodgers Is Actively Recruiting Former Packer In 2024
The Green Bay Packers welcomed a new era in when they traded away Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets this past off-season.
Many former players and coaches followed Rodgers to New York. Much of those additions had to do with the four-time MVP quarterback recruiting personnel to join the gang green with him.
That will be no different during the 2024 off-season.
According to Ian Rapoport Aaron Rodgers will once again attempt to recruit Davante Adams to New York this offseason, however, the Raiders have zero plans to trade him at this time
Recruiting Adams is no surprise, as Rodgers said in his end-of-season press conference that he would be willing to help the front office recruit in the offseason.
“If [general manager Joe Douglas] needs help with recruiting, I’m here to help. I don’t think it has to be anyone involved in the system,” Rogers said. “It’s about character. I think we need character on the offensive line.
“Some of the best lines we’ve ever seen had a serious character to them.”
The Raiders are 14-20 over the past two seasons and have not made the playoffs since 2021. Las Vegas may not give Adams a chance to win a Super Bowl.
Even with new head coach Antonio Pierce next season, the Raiders need upgrades in several areas, especially at the quarterback position, and are unlikely to compete for a championship. It will be interesting to see what trade package the Jets put together if they want to acquire Adams.
