Insider reveals that Daniel Ricciardo is discussing a 2025 contract with a team different from Red Bull.

Daniel Ricciardo In Talks With Another Team for 2025 Contract – Insider

Red Bull Racing Team Principal Christian Horner has addressed the speculation surrounding Daniel Ricciardo’s future with the team.

Ricciardo, who is currently with Red Bull Racing as part of the VCARB (RB) team, might make a significant move to Williams Racing for the 2025 season, according to F1 reporter and presenter Will Buxton.

With Ricciardo’s contract with Red Bull nearing its end this season, he finds himself in a critical negotiation phase with Williams as a potential new team.

Red Bull Racing recently confirmed that Sergio Perez will remain with the team for the 2025 season, a decision that impacts Ricciardo’s future.

Helmut Marko, Red Bull’s motorsport advisor, has emphasized the team’s focus on promoting younger talents like Liam Lawson.

Marko told Kleine Zeitung, as quoted by Planet F1:
“We will have to put a young driver in there soon. That would be Liam Lawson.”

Faced with this reality, Ricciardo is reassessing his career path and negotiating with Williams—a team reportedly frustrated with Carlos Sainz’s indecision about his future.

This situation has potentially created an opportunity for Ricciardo, as noted by commentator Buxton:
“His entire future [is] on the line right now.

There is much talk that he will be out of this seat after the summer break.
“There is talk that he may be in negotiations with Williams for their second seat next year alongside Alex Albon.

“Williams, as we understand, are sick of waiting for Carlos Sainz to make his mind up on where he wants to go next year and may close that door off for him.”

If negotiations with Williams are successful, it could mark a new beginning for Ricciardo, potentially teaming up with Alex Albon.
