Jerry Jones shocked Bill Belichick with an unexpected statement after retaining Mike McCarthy

After an easy 48-32 loss to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card Game, many believed Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones would pull the trigger on a coaching change.

But Jones refused to force coach Mike McCarthy after four years in the Lone Star State. McCarthy enters his fifth year with the Cowboys with a 42-25 record and an ugly 1-3 record in the postseason.

That’s why Jones didn’t hesitate to talk to reporters Tuesday about former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick. Belichick remains on the open market despite a complex coaching carousel with a quarter of all major league jobs open.

“I know him personally and I like him,” Jones told Yahoo on Tuesday. “There is no doubt that we can work together. Not. Not”.As Yahoo’s Jory Epstein points out, Jones strongly endorsed McCarthy on January 17, three days after the Dallas disaster.

Jones said on Tuesday that his roof was very good. “I feel itself, and he feels, we all feel loud, I have to do more on the roof. “The best way to put flesh on bones is through continuity.”
