Liverpool announce transfer fee for Jamal Musiala

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala. The Reds are aware of the price they will have to pay to sign a winger next summer.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Liverpool will need to pay around $105m (about £110m) to sign Musiala from the German giants in 2024. Bayern are under no obligation to sell the player at this time, as his contract runs until 2026.

Therefore, it would take a big offer to sign this talent. “Bayern has no obligation or urgency to sell,” Jacobs said. “There’s no need to worry.” Next year, what I think they’ll do instead is try to focus on seeing how they can extend that deal.

“But if somebody is to succeed in 2024, I think they’re going to have to put down well in excess of €85m or €90m, maybe even more than €100m, so £87m plus.”

That’s in the region of $106m. Liverpool’s home shirt for the 2023/2024 campaign pays homage to Bill Shankly and the legendary Reds manager’s final season in charge at Anfield.

The Nike shirt features a bright red design with a bold white contrast on the colour and cuffs. Liverpool youngster reveals Klopp advice

Liverpool youngster Luke Chambers has revealed what advice Jürgen Klopp gave to him ahead of Europa League win against Toulouse last Thursday. Chambers made his full debut for the club.

With Kostas Tsimikas rested and Andy Robertson injured, the 19-year-old performed well, playing 67 minutes and being sent off in the 5-1 win over France. His future academy colleague Callum Scanlon was also given a chance.

“He’s been dreaming of this moment since he was six years old,” Chambers told the club’s website. “I have come through the ranks of the academy, and as a boy who goes to the academy, this is your dream, so I am very happy!”

“(Klopp) just told us to enjoy ourselves. He said there’s no pressure, just go out there and play like you always play.

Chambers appears to have taken that advice to heart. With Robertson sidelined for some time, we’ll likely see more of the teenager in cup competitions in the coming weeks.
