Patriots QB Prospect Jayden Daniels’ Arm ‘Eye Sore’ Raises Eyebrows

Jayden Daniels, a former LSU quarterback and New England Patriots draft prospect, caught the attention of many on Wednesday with his impressive throwing arm.

However, some noticed an abnormality on his throwing arm during his Pro Day at LSU. This led to discussions on social media, although it was clarified by Dr. Jesse Morse that it will not impact his performance or health in the future.

Morse mentioned on X, previously known as Twitter, that Daniels seems to have olecranon bursitis on his right throwing elbow, but it is simply a minor issue. The sports medicine doctor also clarified that this condition typically does not have a negative impact on a player.

Despite this, Daniels impressed many with his throws at the Pro Day, including deep passes to wide receivers Brian Thomas Jr. and Malik Nabers. This is not surprising considering his impressive stats in the previous season, where he threw for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns, earning him the 2023 Heisman Trophy.

Keith Sanchez of The Draft Network noted that the aspect of Daniels’ game that improved the most in 2023 was his accuracy in deep throws. Although Daniels met with Patriots scout Alonzo Highsmith at the Pro Day, his performance may lead to increased interest from other teams like the Washington Commanders, who hold the No. 2 pick in the draft.
