Kurt Busch, a retired NASCAR racer, was arrested this week in Mooresville, North Carolina, during a traffic stop for allegedly exceeding the posted speed limit by 63 mph. After that, Busch was arrested for DWI, dangerous driving, and speeding.
According to Racer.com, the 46-year-old showed indicators of intoxication, including “red glassy eyes” and a “strong odor of alcohol coming from his breath,” according to the cops.
Busch admitted he was drunk, and his blood alcohol level was more than double the state’s legal limit.

After being admitted to the Iredell County Detention Center, he was eventually freed. His court date is set on September 19.
