Dak Prescott ended the longest day in NFL history on a unique note as the Cowboys found a cheaper alternative to their $136 million wide receiver problem

In the longest day in NFL history, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott became the only player in league history to score a touchdown and an interception on two different days in the same game.

Lightning struck downtown Pittsburgh when the home team was announced before kickoff in the Cowboys’ 20-17 victory over the Steelers on Sunday night.

The originally scheduled start time of 8:20 PM ET has been pushed back nearly 90 minutes, with play beginning at 9:45 PM ET. Prescott, the NFL’s highest-paid player, threw for 352 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions that night. The Duck’s first hit was Sunday, October 6th.

Due to weather delays, a second hurdle and scoring took place on the morning of Monday, October 7, creating a unique record that will likely never be repeated. The match itself started at 1 am. on the East Coast, ending the longest day in NFL football.

The game between the New York Jets and the Minnesota Vikings in London starts at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. E.T. Cowboys vs. Steelers SNF started at 1 a.m. Monday, totaling 15 hours and 37 minutes of continuous football. It was a disappointing and bad night for the Cowboys as emotions ran high. The first half was particularly ugly as Prescott threw a bad interception after what appeared to be a misunderstanding with receiver CeeDee Lamb.

The pass was worth nearly $136 million and went straight into the hands of cornerback Donte Jackson. “It’s hard to explain, it’s just something that was reported … something was wrong,” Mike Tirico said during the broadcast. The ram looked irritated and could be heard muttering something to its owner as netizens tried to figure out what it was.

The Cowboys led 6-3 at halftime, but with less than three minutes to play, the Steelers led by four points. Fortunately for Mike McCarthy’s team, Dak led a 70-yard drive that ended with a 4-yard touchdown pass to unexpected hero Jalen Tolbert to win the game. The Cowboys weren’t perfect, but they worked hard.

Although they improved to 3-2 for the season, the Steelers fell to the same record. Dallas’ next opponent is the Detroit Lions as the Steelers take on the Las Vegas Raiders this Sunday.
