This is Another productive night for the 49ers defensive line

The 49ers had six sacks from Seattle quarterback Geno Smith, including five takedowns by San Francisco defensive linemen.

Javon Hargrave came home late in the second quarter and brought Smith down for an 8-yard loss as he tried to escape the pocket on third down. Seattle stumbled to 4-18.

The next pass rusher to record a sack on Thursday night was Nick Bosa.

On the first drive of the second half, Bosa hit Smith on third-and-four for a loss of seven yards, pushing the Seahawks out of field goal range.

With this sack, Bosa increased his season sack total to seven and added two more half-sacks by the end of the night.

The defensive line’s third sack was shared by Hargrave and Arik Armstead, and it came on third-and-goal from San Francisco’s 7-yard line.

Hargrave and Armstead added five yards to Seattle’s offense, forcing them to settle for a 30-yard field goal.

The kick brought Seattle within 11 points with 3:13 left in the third frame.

Armstead shared a sack with Bosa in the fourth quarter, halting the Seahawks’ advance.

The final sack shared by Bosa and Kevin Givens capped off a five-sack performance for the D-line.

After the game, Coach Bosa talked about the increase in sacks from the defensive line over the past three games.

“It’s just execution. We’re getting back to our pace and our quarterbacks are going to hang in there a little bit more,” Bosa said.

“Our back end has been great and we’ve added guys like Chase Young.”
