Top NFL QB Prospect Opens Up About Potentially Getting Drafted By Patriots.

With the no. 0 patriots, the new england patriots could select their quarterback of the future. In the 2024 nfl draft, the 3rd overall pick is the only one.

It’s unknown who the franchise’s face is, but if the patriots go the quarterback route, it looks like it will be down to two candidates: lsu’s jayden daniels and north carolina’s drake maye.

Maye was featured on espn’s podcast on monday, and the two discussed maye’s potential landing spots in the draft, with new england being at the forefront alongside chicago and washington.

Maye told schefter, “i mean, it’s hard not to talk about the dynasty in new england,” as transcribed by mike kadlick of weei. “you know, you think of the goat,” you say.

When you think of new england, you think of tom brady, the goat. So, just a place with a lot of success and had some years in recent years where they haven’t been as successful, and i know that’s right there near boston,” maye said.

So, all great places to play, and, you know, i think a great spot to be a franchise quarterback at is what i’m working toward,” maye said, adding to the patriots’ roster. maye threw for 8,018 yards and 16 interceptions during his career with the tar heels.

Over the course of two seasons, he also ran for 1,209 yards and 16 touchdowns. It’s uncertain if maye will throw when quarterbacks train in indianapolis on saturday at the annual nfl scouting combine. It could give maye a leg up on other daniels, who prefers to throw at his pro day rather than at the combine.
