San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw suffered an Achilles tendon injury in the first half of Sunday’s Super Bowl game against Kansas City.
Greenlaw bounced up and down the sideline, then fell, holding his left leg, and ran onto the field with several teammates. Then they helped him into the cart.
Greenlaw started all 15 games played that season and was the team’s second leading tackler. He is in his fifth season in the NFL, all with San Francisco.
Before his injury, he had three assists in that game.
