The Kentucky Wildcats have a storied history of producing NBA stars, from Devin Booker to Anthony Davis. As players frequently move between teams or sign with new ones, Kentucky’s rich NBA presence means there are always former Cats on the move.

Here’s a look at a few Wildcats who are heading to new NBA destinations:

– Jacob Toppin: has joined the New York Knicks on a two-way contract, which allows him to alternate between the NBA team and the G-League. After going undrafted following the 2022-2023 season, Toppin played nine games with the Knicks in the 2023-2024 season, averaging 1.4 points and 4.2 minutes per game.

– Johnny Juzang: is now with the Utah Jazz on a four-year contract. Although he didn’t finish his college career at Kentucky, Juzang had a brief stint there. After going undrafted, he signed with the Jazz during the 2022-2023 season and averaged 4.8 points per game. In his second season, he improved to 7.2 points per game and 41.6% shooting from three-point range.

His contract details are as follows:
– 2024-25: $3,087,519
– 2025-26: $2,840,518
– 2026-27: $2,708,000
– 2027-28: $2,789,215

(None guaranteed but will increase to full value if not waived by June 30th of each season.)

– Skal Labissiere: has signed with the Sacramento Kings. Originally selected 28th overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 2016 NBA Draft, Labissiere has previously played for the Kings and the Portland Trail Blazers. Though he hasn’t played in the NBA since the 2019-20 season, the 28-year-old big man, who averaged 8.8 points and shot 53.7% from the field as a rookie, has the potential to make an impact with his 6-foot-10 frame.
