Ezekiel Elliott will once again fill the RB1 spot with the Cowboys in 2024. Elliott returned to Dallas after a year in New England, returning to the franchise that drafted him fourth overall in 2016. The Cowboys signed the eight-year veteran to a one-year, $3 million deal this offseason. With Tony Pollard taking his talents to the Titans as a free agent last year, Elliott is poised to deal with plenty of issues in Dallas’ backfield. This will be different than the first seven years of his Cowboys career. Find out why below.
Ezekiel Elliott change his number why?Elliott wore No. 21 in his first seven seasons with the NFL’s Cowboys, but switched to No. 15 with the Patriots last year. Instead of reverting to his previous number, Elliott will continue to wear #15 in Dallas. Why is the number 15? It was the number Elliott wore in college when he dominated Ohio State. Backup quarterback Trey Lance traded his No. 19 jersey so Zeke could wear No. 15.
