Wild Wreck: Logano voice his frustration with NASCAR, stating that…

In a dramatic wreck involving several playoff drivers, Joey Logano made contact with Brad Keselowski, triggering a multi-car crash that included William Byron.

The incident occurred when Logano got into Keselowski after misjudging his position on a track that he claimed was not properly cleaned following earlier accidents. Logano was quick to voice his frustration with NASCAR, stating that tire debris, or “marbles,” was left on the track, leading to poor grip and eventual disaster.

“I should have checked up more,” Logano admitted. “But the track was a complete mess. NASCAR needs to do a better job cleaning it. There were marbles everywhere, and when I tried to turn, I had all this junk stuck to my tires, and that’s when I got into Brad.”

While Logano accepted responsibility for the initial misstep, he emphasized that the condition of the track played a major role in the crash. “It’s on me, no doubt, but they need to clean the track better,” he said, frustrated by the handling issues caused by tire debris left after earlier incidents.

After the wreck, Logano approached Keselowski to explain what had happened. Keselowski, who also had a clear view of the track’s condition, agreed that the situation was less than ideal.

“The track was filthy,” Keselowski remarked. “I assume Joey picked up some marbles on his tires and just couldn’t make the turn. I got hooked in the left rear, and there was nothing I could do after that. It’s disappointing, but it happens.”

Despite significant damage to their cars, both Keselowski and Byron were able to continue the race, managing to limp their vehicles to the finish line. Byron, who was also caught up in the wreck, provided his perspective on the chaotic scene.

“Logano and Keselowski were running two-wide, and I was trying to get outside of Joey,” Byron explained. “It looked like Brad got loose and over-corrected, which caused him to come back across and hit us. It’s a real bummer, especially during the playoffs.”

The wreck added another layer of drama to an already intense playoff race. Although the drivers managed to finish the race, the incident underscored how quickly things can go wrong on a dirty track, with marbles and debris playing a major role in affecting car handling.
