18-Year-Old Dirt Sensation Corey Day Set for Thrilling NASCAR Truck Series Debut at Bristol

This week marks a significant milestone for Corey Day, a rising star in sprint car racing, as he transitions to pavement racing with his debut in the NASCAR Truck Series. It will be fascinating to see how he adapts to NASCAR competition.

At just 18 years old, Day leads the High Limit Sprint Car Series with the most wins this year. Now, he’s set to debut at Bristol Motor Speedway, also known as “The Last Great Colosseum.” He’ll be driving for Bill McAnally Racing, with HendrickCars.com as his sponsor for four races, including Bristol, Martinsville, Kansas, and Homestead-Miami.

Fans who are impressed with Connor Zilisch should keep an eye on Corey Day. While he may need a bit more time to adjust to NASCAR, those in the industry are already raving about his current talent and future potential.

This week, HendrickCars.com will have two trucks on the track—Rajah Caruth, who has the sponsor for the full season, and Corey Day. The #71 and #81 trucks will be exciting to watch.

When I attended the Sonoma race earlier this year, Kyle Larson was full of praise for Day’s abilities. It’s no surprise that a deal was made with Hendrick to get him into ARCA and Truck Series races.

Given how quickly Day has excelled in sprint cars, the learning curve in NASCAR may not be too steep. Earlier this year, he won his very first late model race at Hickory. While a win at Bristol may not be likely, Day could still surprise many people with his performance.

Corey Day is regarded as the next big talent emerging from the dirt racing world.

While many young drivers have been hyped as the “next big thing” and failed to deliver, Corey Day and a new wave of drivers seem to be the real deal.

Drivers like Day, Zilisch, Carson Kvapil, and Jesse Love are all excelling at a young age, with each showing promise of becoming Cup Series regulars. Kvapil is 21, while Love is currently competing full-time in the Xfinity Series.

Day is not just holding his own but winning against sprint car veterans, champions, and future Hall of Famers. He’s already amassed eight wins this season alone.

On Thursday night, Corey Day will make his NASCAR Truck Series debut, competing against Zilisch and other top prospects. He will also take part in the ARCA East Series finale, making it a true showcase of up-and-coming talent.
