Joe Burrow says a change could help turn around the Bengals’ 0-3 season.

Joe Burrow has an idea of what to do next. The Cincinnati Bengals started the 2024 season 0-3, losing three games by a total of 12 points. Their star defender believes things need to change if they are to turn their campaign around. Burrow was asked Wednesday how he is developing his leadership style after a rough start. The 27-year-old said: “Normally I might be the role model but I think I can pick the moments to say a lot. So look for a place like this this week.”He continued: “There are a lot of young people who have never been there before, so I think it would be good for them to hear my voice.”Despite the 0-3 start, Burrow performed well. He completed 70.9 percent of his passes for 746 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions. His passer rating (107.5) and QBR (62.5) are among the best in the league.

The problem with working against Cincinnati is the history. Since 1990, only 2.5% of NFL teams that started 0-3 have made the playoffs. The Bengals need to turn the tide. And it’s fast. Cincinnati faces the Carolina Panthers in Week 4. The Panthers won in Week 3 with Andy Dalton in the fourth quarter, but they are still one of the worst teams in the NFL this season. The Bengals need to find a way to win this week if they want to get things back on track. To achieve this, Burrow could change his leadership style.
