Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, and Romeo Doubs currently make up the Green Bay Packers/20561/”>Packers‘ top trio of wide receivers. While they’re undoubtedly talented, none of them have emerged as a true star yet. Reed shows promise, but there are concerns surrounding Green Bay’s other key receivers.

Christian Watson, who missed eight games last season due to injuries, is now dealing with an ankle issue, raising further questions about his durability. There’s also been some drama with Doubs, who was recently suspended for one game for behavior that “negatively impacted the team,” according to GM Brian Gutekunst.

Meanwhile, in Miami, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s indefinite absence has sparked rumors that the Dolphins might consider trading their top wideout, Tyreek Hill. Although the odds aren’t great, Packers fans have reason to pay attention. According to SportsBetting.ag, the Packers have the seventh-best odds of landing Hill via Trade.

Packers Likely Interested in a Trade for Tyreek Hill, If Available

Hill led the NFL in receiving yards (1,799) and touchdown receptions (13) in 2023. He was also voted the No. 1 overall player in the league by his peers heading into the season. However, with Tagovailoa sidelined, Hill hasn’t been able to replicate his dominant numbers.

In Week 1, with Tua in the lineup, Hill caught seven passes for 130 yards and a touchdown. Since then, over three games, he’s managed just 10 receptions for 87 yards. Adding Hill to the Packers’ roster would give quarterback Jordan Love one of the league’s best playmakers.

The Kansas City Chiefs (+300) currently have the best odds to re-acquire Hill, followed by the Baltimore Ravens (+400), Pittsburgh Steelers (+600), Washington Commanders (+800), New York Jets (+1000), New Orleans Saints (+1200), and the Packers (+1400).

“We have the Packers with the seventh-best odds to trade for Tyreek Hill,” said Robert Cooper, Sportsbook Manager at SportsBetting.ag, via Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated. “This is more about personnel placement, as Green Bay still lacks a true No. 1 receiver.”

Reed was Green Bay’s leading receiver last season with 64 receptions for 793 yards and eight touchdowns, followed by Doubs with 59 catches for 674 yards and eight scores.

Hill, a five-time first-team All-Pro, has been named to the Pro Bowl in every season of his career. While it’s unlikely the Dolphins would entertain a trade, nothing is ever off the table in the NFL.

“We don’t expect him to end up in Green Bay, but we think the Packers should be considered a ‘favorite’ due to how he could elevate their offense,” Cooper added.

Hill Responds to Trade Rumors: ‘I Can Only Control So Much’
Hill signed a four-year, $120 million contract with the Dolphins in 2022. If the Packers were to trade for him, he would be under contract through 2026.

As for the trade speculation, Hill says he’s happy in Miami.

“You know what, man, I’m just focused on the present,” Hill said about the rumors, via The Athletic. “We’ve got a great team here, and I want to be a part of it.”

“We have a great situation here,” he added. “My family loves it, I love it, the weather’s great, and the fans are awesome. So, we’re in a great spot. My parents always taught me to control what I can control. The NFL is a business, so whatever happens, happens. Moving forward, I want to stay here. I love being here and I love my teammates.”

Still, if a trade were to happen, Hill could find Green Bay an appealing landing spot. Only time will tell.
