Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Challenges Simone Biles, Chris Paul and More through a new campaign

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is teaming up with Simone Biles, Chris Paul, and Quinn Ewers to give back to the Dallas community this holiday season through a new campaign with DICK’S Sporting Goods.

As part of the campaign, Prescott transformed the Dallas-area DICK’S Sporting Goods store in Denton with creative holiday decorations, including a gingerbread locker room and blue lights symbolizing the Cowboys. Each athlete participating in the campaign will award a $100,000 Sports Matter grant to a local youth sports organization of their choice through the Sports Matter program.

Dak Prescott: ‘I Love Getting Into the Holiday Spirit’

Prescott shared his enthusiasm for the campaign, highlighting the importance of representing Dallas and giving back.

“Being able to give back to our youth and charity with the Sports Matter grant, that was huge,” Prescott told Anne Erickson of Heavy Sports. “And honestly, at DICK’S, just having a lot of fun and embracing the holiday season. Love decorating. Love getting into the holiday spirit.”

He emphasized his passion for inspiring others.

“Giving back to the community with the Sports Matter grant and spreading holiday joy—it’s amazing to combine those two things,” Prescott said. “Putting smiles on people’s faces, whether they’re having a tough day and walk into that DICK’S Sporting Goods store, or they see the ad and feel a little joy. Partnering with a brand that prioritizes giving back made it an easy decision.”

Each athlete brought their own unique touch to the campaign: from “gold accents in Houston celebrating Simone’s medals, to a gingerbread football locker room in Dallas for Dak, a 12-foot basketball tree for Chris in San Antonio, and Texas-themed decorations in Austin for Quinn, who had a little help from Matthew McConaughey,” according to DICK’S.

Prescott’s favorite decoration at the Denton store was the gingerbread locker room.

“When I saw it, I was blown away,” Prescott said. “It felt as special as having my name in the locker room alongside my great teammates.”

Advocating for Mental Health

When asked about his favorite aspect of the campaign, Prescott highlighted the opportunity to invest in the Dallas community and youth sports.

He added that while he hasn’t yet selected a specific charity, it will likely focus on mental health.

“Mental health is something I push for and advocate for,” Prescott said. “I want to support programs or charities that focus on mental health for our youth athletes.”

For those interested in seeing Prescott’s holiday decorations, they can visit the DICK’S Sporting Goods store at 2845 W. University Dr. in Denton.

The Cowboys, currently 5-7, have won their last two games and are preparing for their Monday Night Football matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
