Jets WR Davante Adams became the 12th player in NFL history to reach 100 career touchdown catches, achieving the milestone in memorable fashion alongside quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Adams and Rodgers, known for their prolific connection during their years with the Green Bay Packers, delivered a throwback moment in the New York Jets’ 32-25 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver notched his 100th career touchdown in the third quarter, hauling in a familiar goal-line fade from Rodgers on a 1-yard play. The score gave the Jets a 17-16 lead following Anders Carlson’s extra point.
Reflecting on the moment, Adams shared, “It was good to be able to get in there. My teammates were gassing me up all week about it. I think they were probably more excited about it than I was, which is obviously a great thing.”
Adams wasn’t finished there. He capped off a dominant performance with nine receptions for 198 yards and two go-ahead touchdowns, all in the second half of the game. His efforts led the Jets through a back-and-forth battle in Jacksonville.
By reaching the 100-TD milestone, Adams joined an elite group of receivers, becoming just the second player to do so this season after Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Mike Evans achieved it in Week 7. During the game, Adams also surpassed Hall of Famers Tim Brown and Steve Largent on the all-time touchdown leaderboard. He briefly tied Evans with 101 career TD catches, but Evans reclaimed ninth place with two more touchdowns later that day, leaving Adams in 10th after his standout Sunday.
Adams also climbed another significant list, becoming part of one of the league’s most productive QB-WR tandems. With 81 touchdown connections (including playoffs), Adams and Rodgers surpassed Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown for fourth all-time. Most of those touchdowns came during their Green Bay Packers tenure, but the duo has added five more scores since Adams joined the Jets via trade from the Las Vegas Raiders.
Despite Adams (31) and Rodgers (41) being part of a Jets season that hasn’t lived up to expectations, their historic performance provided a shining moment for the team.
