At the Daytona 500 this February, NASCAR driver Martin Truex Jr., who declared his retirement at the conclusion of the 2024 Cup Series season, will make his comeback to the racetrack. The #56 Toyota Camry owned by Tricon Garage will be driven by Truex Jr. Tricon Garage, a team making its Cup Series debut this year, posted the following image of their single charter on social media earlier today: “Ready to reel in our first Daytona 500.” The reveal was well received by Treux Jr.’s fans. The car’s appearance was compared by one fan to Joe Gibbs Racing’s Truex Jr. liveries. What they wrote is as follows: “WHILE HE WAS WITH JGR, WHERE WAS THIS PAINT SCHEME? THIS IS FIRE.

Along with twenty-four race victories during their time together in the Furniture Row racing, JGR, Truex Jr. and Pearn collaborated to win the 2017 Cup Series Championship.
Looking back on his full-time racing career, Martin Truex Jr. Although he will make a comeback to the sport in February at the Daytona International Speedway, Martin Truex Jr. has decided to retire from full-time Cup Series racing. He finished with thirty-three victories, 146 Top 5 finishes, 290 Top 10 finishes, and a Cup Series championship in his nineteen full-time seasons in the sport. “I think, what I’m most proud of in [my] career is not a high probability I guess of doing the things I was able to do,” Truex Jr. stated in reference to his racing career (via NASCAR). being able to spend as much time as I have in this garage and in the Cup Series. Both how it began and how it concluded are two completely different stories. Just the perseverance, I think.
The laborious process and how it wasn’t easy. I’m really happy of my accomplishment in the Cup Series, which was undoubtedly quite difficult to attain. However, I’m also grateful for the individuals and opportunities I’ve had to work with. I simply feel really fortunate and thankful to have been able to accomplish what I did and achieve the accomplishment that we did. After five Top 5 finishes and eleven Top 10 finishes with Joe Gibbs Racing, Martin Truex Jr. concluded his final season in tenth place in the standings.
