The Pittsburgh Steelers’ plans at quarterback for the 2025 season remain uncertain, but Russell Wilson has made it clear he wants to return.
Wilson reiterated his desire to stay during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on January 22. Following the interview, Wilson emphasized his stance by quote-tweeting a clip from the show with a 7-word caption:
“Love my teammates! Best days are ahead,” wrote Wilson.
Wilson is set to become an unrestricted free agent in March. He signed a one-year deal with the Steelers last offseason after hitting free agency.
Including the playoffs, Wilson led Pittsburgh to a 6-6 record as the starting quarterback in 2024. Over 11 regular-season games, he posted a 63.7% completion percentage with 16 touchdowns, five interceptions, and an average of 7.4 yards per pass attempt.
