Seattle Seahawks star wide receiver DK Metcalf has put an end to rumors linking him to the New England Patriots. Appearing on “The Casuals” podcast with Katie Nolan, Metcalf didn’t mince words when addressing the speculation.
“It’s not a desirable place in my opinion,” Metcalf said, before slightly softening his stance with, “Great organization though.”
With that, Metcalf firmly shut the door on any trade talk involving New England, leaving Patriots fans disappointed after hopes the team might land the All-Pro receiver.
Strong Words End Speculation
At 27 years old, Metcalf remains one of the NFL’s premier wide receivers, celebrated for his rare combination of size, speed, and playmaking ability. Entering the final year of his contract, his future with Seattle has been a hot topic, particularly in the absence of reported extension talks.
When rumors surfaced about a potential trade to the Patriots—a team in dire need of offensive firepower—many fans embraced the idea. However, Metcalf’s remarks on “The Casuals” podcast left no room for doubt about his lack of interest in joining New England.
