Caitlin Clark is trading her sneakers for golf spikes — at least for a day. The Indiana Fever star will step back into the spotlight next month, not on the basketball court but at The Annika Pro-Am on the LPGA Tour.
The event takes place Nov. 12 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, and is open to the public. Clark, who made her pro-am debut last year, is set to tee off once again alongside golf legends Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam.
> “I had an amazing time at The Annika last November,” Clark said. “Getting to play with Nelly and Annika — two of the best in the game — was such a fun experience.”
Clark’s appearance last year drew massive crowds and energy rarely seen at pro-am events, proving her star power transcends sports. This year’s return is expected to bring the same excitement.
The timing also comes after a challenging WNBA season for the 2024 Rookie of the Year. Clark played only 13 games in her second campaign before being ruled out on Sept. 4 due to a groin injury. Despite her absence, the Fever still reached the playoffs, ultimately falling to the Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals.
Beyond the fairways and free throws, Clark’s participation ties into her partnership with Gainbridge Insurance, the title sponsor of The Annika event.
For fans, seeing Clark healthy and smiling again — even with a golf club in hand — is a welcome sight. Whether she’s draining threes or driving down the fairway, the superstar continues to prove her influence reaches far beyond
