Rain interrupted the NASCAR Cup Series at Michigan International Speedway for the second straight day on Sunday, pushing the race to Monday after 51 laps with Chase Elliott in the lead.
Qualifying for the event was also canceled due to weather conditions on Saturday, leaving the starting grid determined by NASCAR metrics. Sunday’s stoppage came shortly after the end of the first stage.
