Corey Lajoy had one of the wildest rides NASCAR has ever seen.
As the Cup Series weekend returned to Michigan on Monday morning, No. 7 took to the air and flew through the air after making contact with Noah Gregson. Lajoie’s car went down, landed on its roof and slid onto the Turn 3 grass, rolling several times.

Lajoie was evaluated and released from the nursing home. “It’s the same as last year,” Lajoy told USA Broadcasting. You know, we have a good car, and I’ll find a way to change it.
We’ve been turned upside down twice this year and I’ve never been turned down in my entire career. Unfortunately, that’s how the year went for our #7 team. We were in a hurry and we couldn’t put it all together.
But No. 10 (Gregson) cut me a couple of times, especially (Turn 2) when I ran I don’t know, I haven’t seen the play yet. If he pulls from the wall when I try to grab the left rear. …that’s a trip my friend.

Tyler Reddick won the race, which was red flagged and stopped due to rain on Sunday. The driver of the #45 Toyota for 23XI Racing won after multiple restarts, holding off Charlotte’s William Byron (who finished second) and Ty Gibbs (P3).
