Man City have agreed personal terms with West Ham striker Divin Mubama after hijacking his move to Portugal, sources have told Football Insider.
The striker was offered new terms by West Ham, but became a free agent after his contract at the London Stadium expired at the end of June.
City have agreed a compensation fee of around £1.5million with West Ham, and a full agreement is now in place between all parties.
Mubama, 19, had been set to sign for Portuguese outfit Famalicao before City swooped.
This comes after Oscar Bobb suffered a fractured leg in training, while new arrival Savinho picked up a blow to his knee in the 2-0 win against Chelsea.
Two injury blows to forward options under Pep Guardiola saw them accelerate talks with Mubama to reach an agreement.

The striker scored his first goal for the club during a 4-0 win against AEK Larnaca after coming on as a substitute, but has not scored a senior goal since.
Since his debut in 2023, Mubama featured just 18 times for the Hammers, while David Moyes’ apparent reluctance to hand him first-team minutes had been a cause for concern among fans.
However, the forward did enough during those 18 appearances to attract interest from City as well as clubs across Europe.
His performances for the Hammers’ academy sides also earned him recognition after he finished as the top scorer during their 2023 FA Youth Cup victory.

After his move to City is completed, Mubama will link up with Guardiola’s squad with a view to breaking into the team.
While still regarded as a young prospect, the striker views a move to City as the best step for his development.
