This isn’t the Disney-esque conclusion that a professional American bull rider was hoping for at a Brazilian event.
A bull nicknamed “Mickey Mouse” attacked Elijah Monnett on Thursday at the 31st Barretos International Rodeo in Barretos, São Paulo.
The audience at Rodeo Stadium Arena applauded the 25-year-old Utah native as he rode the beast for just four seconds before he was flung off.
Monnett then got to his feet as a cowboy lifesaver approached to see how he was doing. With his back to ‘Mickey Mouse,’ the man grabbed Monnett off the ground and nearly gored him, pinning both men against the fence.

Subsequently, during the event, a bull known as “Metamorphosis” almost crushed Arizona native Jaxton Mortensen when the massive animal stumbled and fell shortly after emerging from the chute.
When a barrelman raced to his side and hauled the 20-year-old to the gate, where he tried to assist him in standing, the young man landed on his right side and began to crawl.
According to Brazilian news station G1, Mortensen was brought to an on-site emergency clinic for a medical assessment. A request for comment from DailyMail.com was not answered by Monnett or Mortensen.
