Cowboys offense: Zeke Elliott and Dalvin Cook aren’t expected to lead Dallas’ offense.

Everyone is looking forward to the show when the Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys meet in Week 1 of the 2024 NFL regular season. The Browns had the best defense in the regular season last year, but the Cowboys have a tie between QB Dak Prescott and WR Ceedee Lamb. Cleveland hopes the returning Deshaun Watson can take advantage of Dallas’ numerous injuries on defense and a strong secondary. The Browns are the favorites in Week 1, but are also dealing with some serious injury issues, and the Cowboys started the week healthy. Dallas’ offense has seen some big changes in the backfield in recent seasons. First, the Cowboys traded Ezekiel Elliott for Tony Pollard. Elliott is back, but Pollard remains a free agent this offseason. Dallas added veteran Dalvin Cook after training camp, but little-known Rico Dowdle could take over the unit in 2024.
