NASCAR is set to debut three new production, perfectly timed to coincide with the start of the 2024 NASCAR playoffs, enhancing the fan experience with fresh insights and entertainment.

These new productions include two video podcasts available on YouTube and other platforms, alongside a flagship show airing on truTV and Max. NASCAR is using these platforms to engage both die-hard fans and newer audiences, giving them deeper access to postseason developments and behind-the-scenes content.

The main show, NASCAR Inside the Playoffs, will air Thursdays from 7-8 p.m. ET on truTV and Max, starting on September 5, 2024. Hosted by veteran sports broadcasters Shannon Spake and Steve Letarte, it promises unfiltered commentary on the NASCAR playoffs, providing a deep dive into postseason action.

With Spake’s 20 years of experience in the sports broadcasting world, alongside Letarte’s expertise as a former NASCAR crew chief, the show aims to offer fans expert analysis on racing strategy, drivers, and teams. Additionally, NASCAR reporter Jordan Bianchi will provide up-to-the-minute coverage of breaking news, ensuring the show keeps pace with ongoing developments.

One exciting element is the weekly guest rotation featuring current and former drivers, which will kick off with two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch. This mix of seasoned veterans and new perspectives promises to give fans an inside look at the sport, with a raw and authentic feel, perfectly complementing the tense atmosphere of playoff racing.

The second show, NASCAR Daily, launches on YouTube and podcast platforms on September 9. Airing every weekday morning at 10 a.m. ET, this fast-paced show will blend breaking news with entertaining commentary, making it perfect for fans who want their NASCAR fix in bite-sized segments.

Hosted again by Shannon Spake, the show will feature regular guest appearances from drivers and personalities within the industry. Notably, it will spotlight segments on fan engagement and sports betting, appealing to a broader range of NASCAR enthusiasts.

The third show, Drop the Jack, also debuts on September 5 and will be available on YouTube and podcast platforms. This unique podcast takes a different approach by spotlighting the NASCAR pit crew athletes. Hosted by Dylan “Mamba” Smith, a former driver turned media personality, the show aims to explore the highs and lows of life both on and off the track, with engaging conversations from behind the scenes of Cup Series racing. Pit crew veterans like Derrell Edwards and Paul Swan, among others, will contribute to this raw, emotional, and often overlooked aspect of the sport.

All three shows will be produced out of NASCAR’s state-of-the-art production facility in Concord, North Carolina. This new 58,000-square-foot facility represents NASCAR’s growing investment in original content, allowing the league to expand its storytelling capabilities through multiple platforms.

The introduction of these shows reflects NASCAR’s desire to adapt to the modern media landscape. As the playoff season begins, NASCAR aims to bring fans more immersive content, catering to both those who crave deep analysis and those looking for quick updates. This expansion not only diversifies NASCAR’s content offerings but also positions the organization to attract new viewers while keeping long-time fans engaged throughout the postseason.
