JDC-Miller Motorsports has confirmed that it will return to the GTP (Grand Touring Prototype) class in 2025 with Porsche.

The Minnesota-based team has been actively working on expanding its current efforts, which began with its debut of the Porsche 963 in the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

For 2025, the team plans to potentially run a second Porsche 963 in the GTP class, enhancing its presence in the highly competitive series.

The 2023 season served as a learning experience for JDC-Miller, as it navigated the challenges of running the complex Porsche 963 for the first time.

According to team principal John Church, while the GTP class cars are highly complicated and require significant adaptation, the team has made strides throughout the season and is now much more comfortable with the platform.

The possibility of adding a second Porsche to their lineup will depend on securing additional sponsorship and driver arrangements.

JDC-Miller initially joined the GTP class with a single Porsche 963, competing against well-established teams.

Despite the challenges of fielding such an advanced car, the team has shown promise, thanks to strong performances from drivers such as Tijmen van der Helm and Richard Westbrook.

The team’s ambitions for 2025 reflect its determination to build on the progress made since its GTP debut.

The decision to return with Porsche also underscores the team’s commitment to staying competitive in the GTP class.

They have been refining their understanding of the Porsche 963, and by 2025, they expect to further improve their performance and results.
