In a recent thrilling race, Christopher Bell defeated Kyle Larson in a picture finish. In Saturday’s non-wing outlaw feature of the Tulsa Shootout, the two NASCAR stars, who have faced off against one another in dirt racing as teenage racecar drivers, put on a show. Larson, who started the race way back in 14th place, found himself challenging Bell, who started the 55-lap feature in the front row. The JGR driver, making his comeback to dirt racing, won the major race with a strong run off turn 4 after the Hendrick Motorsports driver made last-minute advancements in turn 3.
Veteran NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace offered his thoughts on this finish. He stated: Larson vs. Bell. God, it did not let me down. Kyle Larson and C Bell are the two best NASCAR drivers of our time. Kyle Larson started on the fourteenth, did I mention that? Is that reasonable? Is that reasonable? Kyle Larson came all the way back from 14th, and Christopher Bell started on the front row outside. Is that reasonable? Wallace continued by saying that because of the lack of control in dirt racing, where one starts isn’t as significant as where one finishes. He then discussed the two NASCAR stars’ post-race interviews, where Larson’s remarks about Bell caused Wallace to understand something significant.
That is the rivalry that we have all been seeking. They don’t actually despise one another. They both belong to the same motorsports group, are open-wheel enthusiasts, and possess exceptional talent. We all adore Kyle Larson’s simple admission, which is widely quoted on social media. “We all love it when Kyle Larson tells Christopher Bell, ‘I don’t like running second,'” Wallace continued. Following his significant victory against Kyle Larson in Tulsa, Christopher Bell congratulated Joe Gibbs, his NASCAR owner.
Christopher Bell sent his NASCAR team owner Joe Gibbs a four-word message after winning Saturday’s 55-lap feature race in Tulsa
“I have four words: Thank you, Joe Gibbs,” Bell said simply. In his post-race interview, Bell stated.
Notably, Joe Gibbs prohibited his drivers from participating in any race other than NASCAR until recently. However, Kyle Larson, Bell’s longstanding dirt opponent, and his team, Hendrick Motorsports, have the opposite stance, allowing their drivers to compete in other racing disciplines and formats. But at the close of last year, the JGR president also made some adjustments in his company and finally enabled his drivers to race in disciplines other than NASCAR. Regarding that, Joe Gibbs stated that although he had always favored his drivers’ concentration on stock car racing, he now thought it was “fair” to devise a procedure for additional racing possibilities. Gibbs disclosed that the group now possesses a process in which after everyone’s approval on the competition side, the drivers can request to run certain races, including dirt and other forms.
