McCall, the spouse of NASCAR driver Zane Smith, posted images of her pre-vacation preparations and hinted at the destination on social media. Smith, who made his Cup Series debut last year, will be driving the No. 38 Ford Mustang for Front Row Motorsports this year. As a full-time competitor in the Craftsman Truck Series in 2023, the 25-year-old has participated in six Cup races in the No. 38 car.
Following their adolescent years together, Zane Smith and McCall were married in January of last year. McCall, a former dancer, has more than 12,000 fans on social media. On Instagram, she had earlier hinted to their vacation for their first wedding anniversary, writing: “We are finally embarking on our postponed honeymoon/anniversary trip this week strong with the gym and sauna session..”
McCall posted a number of images in her most recent postings that alluded to the destination of her trip. Writing, “Pre beach tan,” McCall “Definitely going somewhere cold, can’t you tell?” she tweeted beside a photo of her jewelry. Before leaving for her flight, McCall subsequently posted a passport photo and a snapshot of herself around 5:30 am. On February 12, NASCAR will make a comeback in the Cook Out Clash demonstration race in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Four days later, the 2025 Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway will kick off the regular season. “I can’t catch a break here” – Zane Smith during his difficult NASCAR Cup Series first season.
Zane Smith and Front Row Motorsports (FRM) took home the 2022 title. Last year, he joined Trackhouse Racing in the Cup Series before being leased to Spire Motorsports. He was among the last full-time drivers to finish the season in 30th place. Smith discussed how he felt like he had lost three years of his career in 2024 and how he was taken aback when he was sacked but surprised to see that Bob Jenkins had called him. He was signed by FRM to play in the 2025 Cup Series alongside teammates Todd Gilliland and Noah Gragson. Zane Smith also discussed the challenging circumstances surrounding the lawsuit: “I initially believed he was only interested in discussing the Truck Series, but after exchanging emails and seeing what he was assembling,
I signed within a week. I’m not educated enough on the lawsuit to offer an opinion on it but I knew enough then to realize that it was getting tense with the charter stuff. Once FRM and 23XI filed the lawsuit, I thought, ‘man, I can’t catch a break here.” (via Sportsnaut)
FRM and 23XI Racing filed an anti-trust lawsuit against NASCAR in October last year over the new charter agreements.
