Earlier this week, Daniel Hemric, a driver for NASCAR, posted some adorable photos of his kid Ruston in the garage on social media. Hemric posted pictures of his youngest child on Instagram, showing him playing with the tires on the shop floor and in his dad’s Truck Series car. Last year, Hemric, who finished his second Cup Series season, posted the pictures to his 41.1K followers with the message, “Dudes day.” Daniel and his wife, former stock car racer Kenzie Ruston, have a second kid, Ruston Monroe Hemric, who is two years old. Three years after their marriage, in 2020, they welcomed their first child, Rhen Haven Hemric. This season, Daniel Hemric returns to the Craftsman Truck Series, piloting the #19 truck, which Ruston is seated in above, for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing.
This will be Hemric’s first season in the Truck Series since he drove full-time for two seasons in 2015 and 2016 for NTS Motorsports and Brad Keselowski Racing, where he finished sixth in the points standings. In the two years that Hemric competed in the Trucks Series, he finished with 15 Top 5 finishes and 30 Top 10 finishes.
“This is a great opportunity for me to compete for wins and chase another championship,” he said in reference to his transfer to the MHR (via NASCAR). Thank you for the opportunity, Bill McAnally, Bill Hilgemann, NAPA, Chevrolet, and all those involved. With NAPA’s 100th anniversary and Bill’s 35th year, it’s a significant milestone season to be a part of the partnership with them. We’re going to do everything we can to get the NAPA Auto Care Chevrolet in Victory Lane and be in contention for a championship.
Daniel Hemric discusses his preparations for the next season
Earlier this week, the new #19 driver posted on Instagram on his preparations for the season, which begins next month. Hemric posted a brief video of himself juggling in his gym while balancing on a board. “Life in action…….Season is here,” the returning Truck Series driver captioned the video he posted on social media. On February 14th, Daniel Hemric will compete in his debut race with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing at the Daytona International Speedway.
