The 32-year-old Ty Dillon has sent a dire warning to his rivals when he returns to the NASCAR Cup Series full-time for the 2025 season. After challenging periods with Germain Racing and Spire Motorsports from 2017 to 2023, he will be racing with Kaulig Racing, marking a significant shift in his career. In addition to being Dillon’s first full-time seat since 2023, Kaulig Racing boasts a winning track record. Ty Dillon expressed his delight at the chance with Kaulig Racing in an interview with Fox Sports’ Bob Pockrass (above). “Being with Kaulig Racing is, in my opinion, the best opportunity I’ve ever had in my career. My objectives are lofty. I got into this sport to want to win races in the Cup Series and compete, to be in the playoffs, and I know this is my best opportunity yet.

“That is something that this squad has done before. In recent years, they have visited victory lane in this Cup Series. I can now say that I am a member of a team that has won before me, which is something I had never done before. Thus, I’m thrilled about that chance. This, in my opinion, is my best opportunity to demonstrate my abilities, my belief in my ability to drive, and the opportunity I’ve been working so hard to achieve.” Dillon shown his ability throughout the 2024 season by finishing in the top 20 three times out of five races with Kaulig Racing. His performance at Texas in 16th place was particularly notable, which proved his ability to handle the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 effectively, helping to earn him a full-time role for 2025. His consistent performance has obviously earned the trust of Kaulig Racing.

For its part, the team is working to become a strong contender in the NASCAR Cup Series. By utilizing Ty Dillon’s familial ties to Richard Childress, the team has established a technical partnership with Richard Childress Racing. In addition to other calculated actions like obtaining crucial sponsorships, this collaboration is well-positioned to offer the technical assistance that is required. Kaulig Racing has signed multi-race sponsorship agreements for the 2025 season, with Grizzly Nicotine Pouches serving as the principal sponsor for nine races and Sea Best Seafood as the main sponsor for 20 events. Andrew Dickeson, who has a plethora of expertise from a successful partnership in the Xfinity Series, has also been named crew chief.

Even though he has made more than 244 Cup starts, Dillon wants to use Kaulig’s abundant resources to finish in the top 25 for the first time in 2025. Given Dillon’s lengthy absence since his last national victory in a 2014 Xfinity race, some skepticism still exists. Thankfully, he will have the assistance of seasoned driver AJ Allmendinger, who provides a wealth of guidance and data sharing to improve the driver’s performance. In the past, Kaulig Racing has developed from a part-time team to a significant Cup Series competitor, particularly since acquiring the No. 10 vehicle from Stewart-Haas Racing. Expectations are raised by Dillon’s family history, which includes his Cup-winning brother Austin Dillon. Up until now, experts have been cautiously optimistic about Kaulig Racing’s future.

They highlight the team’s financial support, RCR’s technical assistance, and Dillon’s consistent driving style, which is marked by a comparatively low number of career DNFs. The young North Carolina driver may face difficulties this season, though, given Kaulig Racing’s inexperience with the playoffs and an average finish of only 24.4 in the Cup series. The 2025 NASCAR season could be the trial Dillon needs to start a legacy of his own as he enters this new stage of his career. The forthcoming season may set the stage for significant plot points and changes that impact Dillon’s career as well as Kaulig Racing’s standing in the NASCAR competitive world. Ty Dillon is focused on winning, so his comeback is sure to be an interesting storyline to watch.
