He will be ridden more intently here if you like him up in trip.
Caulfield Number 8 in Race Eight ($13) The Playwright: As seen in the Widden at Rosehill, when she led throughout and deserves praise, the playwright would leap on the rabbit and take a running down. She was there to be defeated, but she was also under pressure to win, given that she was carrying the weight penalty. Leads and weights should be returned to their initial settings.
Caulfield Race Nine Number 10 Sghirripa ($12): Sghirripa will an absolute beauty here in search of Oakleigh Plate redemption. He was well fancied in this race last year but was very good against the pattern. He didn’t quite go on with it afterwards but has been given a good break with this race in mind and his trial win at Morphettville…they don’t go much better. He’ll rock and roll, only run well.
