The Browns plan to get their starting quarterback back on the practice field Wednesday. Left tackle Jedrick Wills was on the physically unable to play list all summer before being activated before the team reduced the roster to 53 players. Wills, who is recovering from a knee injury, did not immediately return to practice, but the move was a sign that the Browns believe he will be ready to play at some point in the first four games. The team said Wednesday that all players on the active roster will practice as the team begins Sunday’s game against the Cowboys, so Wills will be available to play against Dallas. There is also talk of trading Jack Conklin if Wills can’t come. We’ll likely get more information on Cleveland’s plans in the coming days.
Wide receiver David Bell, defensive lineman Shelby Harris and kicker Dustin Hopkins also missed practice Monday but will be able to participate again this week thanks to Wednesday’s announcement.
