Kyle Brandt Draws Hilarious Parallels Between Cowboys and Viral ‘Grape Lady’ following Steelers defeat

Cowboys traveled to Pittsburgh and came away with a much-needed victory.

Mike Tomlin, known for keeping his teams hovering around .500, is often able to coin memorable phrases like, “there’s a fine line between making wine and squashing grapes.”

In a world where football coaches don’t always offer colorful insights, Tomlin’s words stand out. That line, suggesting the delicate balance between success and failure, was brought up again this morning on Good Morning Football as they dissected the Pittsburgh Steelers’ ugly loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.

Dallas needed the win desperately, while Pittsburgh may regret allowing players like Rico Dowdle, Jalen Tolbert, and Hunter Luepke to get the best of them. Kyle Brandt, always one for a creative comparison, likened the Cowboys to the infamous Grape Lady from an old viral video.

For those who don’t recall, this internet clip from the early YouTube days showed a woman stomping on grapes during a segment, only to fall and writhe in pain—effectively stopping America in its tracks for weeks.

So, while I’m no expert, it’s probably not a good sign if a team that appeared to be down and out—much like the Grape Lady—gets back on its feet and beats you in your own stadium.

On the flip side, Dallas showed some grit in this game, which shifts the narrative surrounding the team. In fact, they might be on the verge of becoming just a little bit likable.
