In addition to Robinson, the Lions announced the signing of Beauplan on September 26.
Though Beauplan lacks NFL regular season experience, his prior stint in the league was with the Vikings under defensive coordinator Brian Flores. His familiarity with Flores’ system might give the Lions an advantage when the two teams face off in 2024.
The Vikings head into Week 4 with a 3-0 record. Their defense currently ranks second in points allowed and third in takeaways through the first three games of the season.
Beauplan played college football at Marshall. From 2020 to 2022, he accumulated 231 total tackles, including 24 tackles for loss in 35 games. He also recorded 3.5 sacks, 3 pass breakups, 5 forced fumbles, and 1 interception.
