The Detroit Lions debuted their new black uniforms and blue helmets on Monday Night Football. They provided the Ford Field faithful with an offensive attack in new kits.
The Lions cruised to a 14-0 victory over the Seattle Seahawks thanks to some ground-and-pound play and great play from the defense.
On first down, Detroit’s offense capped a successful drive with a third down and a David Montgomery kick: A big play by the Lions defense set up the second score.
Jack Campbell stripped Seahawks WR DK Metcalf and cornerback Carlton Davis stripped the ball and returned it to the red zone. This time Jahmir Gibbs broke into the end zone to put the Lions up 14-0 and Jake Bates kicked the extra point.
