Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown React to Jameson Williams’ Eye-Catching Statement “Can Jameson Williams Rewrite History with a…..

Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams, renowned for his electrifying speed, recently made an eye-catching statement in the locker room. Williams confidently claimed he could run a 4.1-second 40-yard dash—an extraordinary time that would rank him among the fastest players in history.

“I think I can. I probably could run faster,” Williams declared with conviction. “I saw someone say they don’t believe it’s a 4.1. I believe in it. People who know me know I can do that.”

Linking Madden Speed to Real Life

Although Williams has never run an official 40-yard dash, he turned to the popular video game Madden to validate his claim. “I’ve never run a 40. That’s what I’m saying. I never had to do that,” Williams explained. “If Madden respects me enough to give me 98 speed from the start? That’s a 4.1. No 40 and 98 speed? If I was a 99, it would be like a 3.9 or a 4.0.”

For Williams, Madden’s assessment of his speed serves as sufficient evidence, even if official timing could tell a different story.

Teammates Weigh In on Williams’ Remark

Unsurprisingly, Williams’ bold statement drew reactions from his teammates. Quarterback Jared Goff, known for his laid-back personality, offered a lighthearted response when asked about the claim.

“Yeah, I guess if he says so, I don’t know. We’ll have to measure it sometime,” Goff joked. “He’s hard to track down if we want to time his 40, but if he says 4.1, we’ll have to hold him to it.”

Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown also chimed in, casting playful doubt on Williams’ assertion.

“I do love Jamo, but I don’t know if he’s hitting 4.1,” St. Brown said with a grin. “That’s crazy, that’s crazy.”

Confidence and Team Chemistry in Detroit

Despite the good-natured skepticism from his teammates, Williams’ confidence shines through. While his ability to clock a 4.1-second 40-yard dash remains untested, his belief in his speed is part of what makes him such a valuable player for the Lions.

As Detroit continues its quest for success, having a confident player like Williams adds an extra spark to the team. Whether or not he can deliver on his claim, his blazing speed will undoubtedly play a crucial role in the Lions’ efforts to finish the season strong.
