Amon-Ra St. Brown Reacts as Lions Lose Another Coach “the consequence of success……

Jan 30, 2025 #St. Brown

News broke Wednesday that Lions tight ends coach Steve Heiden is departing to take over as the Jets’ offensive line coach, adding to the growing list of staff members leaving since Detroit’s playoff loss to the Commanders.

Such turnover is a natural consequence of success, and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown addressed the changes on his St. Brown Podcast. His position coach, Antwaan Randle El, joined Ben Johnson in Chicago, and St. Brown expressed happiness that Randle El is advancing in his career with the Bears.

Despite the shakeups, St. Brown remains confident in the team’s ability to move forward.

“We’ll be all right, though,” St. Brown said. “Players make plays, right?”

His comments echo the classic football adage that success is less about Xs and Os and more about Jimmys and Joes. In 2025, the Lions will put that theory to the test.
