The San Francisco 49ers are still in the postseason hunt, but their season has been riddled with challenges.
The team has struggled with significant injuries throughout the season, rarely playing at full strength. Unfortunately, that trend will persist on Sunday when they face the Chicago Bears.
On Friday, the 49ers officially ruled out their star offensive tackle and listed superstar defensive end Nick Bosa as doubtful for the matchup, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
“49ers ruled out (left tackle) Trent Williams for Sunday’s game vs. the Bears and listed (defensive end) Nick Bosa as doubtful,” Schefter reported.
Despite the 49ers’ struggles this season, Bosa has remained a standout performer. In 10 games, he has recorded seven sacks, 17 quarterback hits, and one interception, reinforcing his value to the team.
The $170 million defensive star hasn’t been officially ruled out yet, but his availability looks uncertain. Bosa is dealing with an oblique injury, and his status will be a critical storyline over the final five weeks of the NFL regular season.
