Finally, the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series The LiUNA! is over. On Saturday, March 15, the season’s fifth race, which had 38 entries, began at 4:30 p.m. ET. It lasted two hours, eight minutes, and thirty seconds and was held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The LiUNA! saw three yellow flags and seven lead changes between four drivers.
Who prevailed in today’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race?
At a Las Vegas track, Justin Allgaier, who drives the #7 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports, won his season-opening race handily.
After taking the lead from Kyle Sieg for the last time on Lap 152 of 200 and fending off Aric Almirola’s attempt to finish in P1, the reigning NASCAR Xfinity Series champion emerged victorious. After winning Stage 1 and leading the race for 102 laps, Allgaier finished 1.067 seconds ahead of Almirola to receive the checkered flag. The victory was the 90th for Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s co-owned JR Motorsports in the Xfinity Series and the 26th of his career. Aric Almirola came in second, and the top five included Sam Mayer, Austin Hill, and Jesse Love. The remaining ten were Sheldon Creed, Connor Zilisch, Harrison Burton, Brandon Jones, and Ryan Sieg.
Allgaier, Love, Hill, and Mayer earned a spot in the season’s opening Dash 4 Cash event at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Saturday. The top finisher will receive a bonus of $100,000. Next up, on Saturday, March 22, 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series teams and drivers will compete in the sixth race of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
