Hailie Deegan joined AM Racing the previous year, but she left the team after 17 Xfinity Series races. Harrison Burton joined AM Racing this year, and she later switched to open-wheel racing in the Indianapolis NXT Series. Harrison Burton, the full-time driver of the No. 25 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for AM Racing, is the son of former Cup Series racer Jeff Burton. After three years in the Cup Series, 2025 will be his debut year with Xfinity. Burton only produced two top-five finishes for Wood Brothers Racing during that time, but he did accumulate six top-10 finishes overall. Prior to the 2025 season, he was let go from the organization, and Josh Berry was announced as the replacement driver for the No. 21 WBR entry.
The 24-year-old, however, is in front of his sixth race of the year, which is set for March 22 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The Huntersville native is competing for both his season-opening victory and the potential first career triumph for AM Racing. In light of this, he stated (as reported by Speedway Digest): “I love racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway. I’ve won at this track, and nothing would please me more than to go back to Victory Lane on Saturday afternoon and help AM Racing win their first race ever. The secret to success at Homestead is maintaining a healthy balance. We’ll attempt to get our No. 25 DEX Imaging Ford Mustang as close to the wall as possible without hitting it since the track is so wide and there’s a lot of speed going up by the wall.
If we want to be in the running for another top-10 on Saturday, we’ll need to stay ahead of the changes in the track conditions, which I anticipate will alter significantly from the green flag to the checkered flag,” he continued. Burton, a NASCAR driver, will go into the race having made 80 Xfinity starts, including four victories, 26 top-five finishes, and 52 top-10 finishes. He also has 52 starts in the ARCA Menards Racing series, 40 in the Craftsman Truck Series, and 109 in the NASCAR Cup Series.
Harrison Burton is prepared to apply the lessons he learned in Las Vegas at NASCAR to Homestead-Miami
Harrison Burton participated in “The LiUNA!” at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway last weekend, on March 15. He finished with a P8, picking up 29 points on the way. As of today, he sits 13th in the driver standings with 119 points to his name.
Burton is now prepared for a Homestead-Miami sweep after finishing in the top ten for the third time this year. His best P20 finish came in 2022, and he has already started three times in the 1.5-mile oval-shaped intermediate. Using X, formerly Twitter, Burton posted, “P8 for the @deadontools #Mustang @LVMotorSpeedway.” To finish the race, I got the car really fast! We’re prepared to share our knowledge with @HomesteadMiami and @AMRacingNASCAR. 10:30 am ET is the time for practice, and 11:35 am ET is the time for qualifying. The 300-mile, 200-lap race, known as the Hard Rock Bet 300, will air on CW starting at 4 p.m. ET. Both SiriusXM NASCAR Radio and MRN will provide radio updates.
