It seems like the NASCAR community has a new perspective on Bubba Wallace. Bubba Wallace has been a divisive character in the NASCAR community throughout the years. His “noose” incident at a Talladega garage in 2020 was largely to blame for this. After some inquiry, it was discovered to be only rope from the garage rather than a noose. Wallace was justified in his reaction, though, given he was the only Black driver in the sport. However, many NASCAR fans criticized him. Wallace has spoken out against President Trump, who is also supported by a large portion of the NASCAR community. Wallace has, however, introduced a new perspective to the sport in recent years, particularly this season.
Particularly when interacting with the media, he seems more composed and level-headed. Fans of NASCAR are also taking notice. Fatherhood, according to the 23XI Racing driver, has altered him. Wallace said earlier this year, “We were just talking, wife [Amanda], and you saw it talking about the baby and talking about something else, and it’s crazy how you have to compartmentalize things, so it’s cool.” Additionally, Wallace has a history of being irritable during post-race interviews. But even that has evolved. Fans of NASCAR are observing a change. After placing third at the Straight Talk Wireless 400 in Miami on Sunday, Wallace sounded fantastic.
Wallace told Jamie Little of FOX Sports, “It was really good.” “We had speed when we arrived in Miami. You should check that box first. As racecar drivers, we all know that you want to be visible and competitive, and we were. We started the race just fine, which led me to believe that we were merely average and that our balance was comparable to what we’ve had for the previous two years. I simply prayed for a track position. Just now, my pit crew caught fire. This crew has put in a tremendous lot of work over the past five years to reach this point. Although we’re not where we’d like to be, we’re quite certain sure competitive each and every stop. They got us up there and gave me a shot, and our Columbia Toyota Camry was just gamechanger.”
On X, formerly known as Twitter, NASCAR fans have acknowledged that they are changing their minds on Wallace. “Bubba looks fantastic as a father. One fan said, “I love seeing him in a good head space.” “This is what I mean. I really like this guy. For more than five years, he has grown up in front of me as a fan. more grown up. more realistic. smarter. The man is deserving of all the success that is certain to follow. When he wins, I’ll be cheering. “BDub, let’s go!” another admirer said. “I’m not a fan of Wallace, because he’s usually a hotheaded whiner, but I appreciated his race perspective here,” a fan commented.
“Bubba Wallace is noticeably more even-keeled this season,” a fan commented. “I’m pleased to note that he has performed admirably in the two races leading up to 2025! One admirer wrote, “Plus won a Duel Race, which he claimed he had been wanting for a long time and finally got.” Wallace thinks his family is the key to his new way of thinking. “I have a good family, so it’s nice to be able to step back and say ‘if it all ended today, it’s okay,'” he has stated.
