Kyle Busch Still Searching for First Cup Series Win Since 2023
While Kyle Busch secured a NASCAR Truck Series victory at Atlanta earlier this season, his Cup Series winless streak continues. After failing to win a race in 2024, Busch’s streak of 19 consecutive Cup Series seasons with a victory came to an end. Now, through the first six races of 2025, the drought remains unbroken.
Despite the struggles, Busch remains confident in his Richard Childress Racing team, emphasizing that effort isn’t the issue. Speaking ahead of the Cook Out 400 at Martinsville, he stressed the importance of working smarter, not harder, recognizing the long hours and dedication of his crew.
Busch’s 2025 Performance So Far
Busch’s best finish this season came at Circuit of the Americas (COTA), where he placed fifth and was in contention for the win until the final laps, when Christopher Bell overtook him and his tire performance dropped off significantly. Across the first six races, he has averaged a finishing position of 18th in the No. 8 car.
At Martinsville Speedway, Busch once again fell short of victory, finishing 17th in the Cook Out 400. He now looks ahead to next weekend’s race at Darlington Raceway, a track where he previously won in 2008 and has earned seven top-five finishes.
